Hello fellow snow lovers! The Ridge has been buzzing with activity the past couple months while our incredible employees have been prepping for the 2016-2017 season. We’re proud to report that our lifts have all passed their 7 year load tests and annual inspections, the Wax House Cafe has been revamped, we’ve upgraded to a computerized ticketing system, snowmaking is ready to fire up as soon as temperatures drop, and we’ve managed to replace our old groomer with a beautiful PistenBully Edge Park Bully! Despite last year’s poor winter, we’ve been trying to make as many changes and improvements as possible in the off-season. An emphasis has been put on improving quality and efficiency across the board, from our food services, to our customer service, to the snow surface on the hill. We look forward to sharing these changes with everyone as soon as the season gets under way!
The extended forecast shows plenty opportunities for snowfall and temperatures dropping by the end of the week. We look to begin our snowmaking operations this Friday night (weather permitting), with hopes of cold temperatures sticking around so we can get the slopes open by mid-December! We are incredibly excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to see people sliding down the hill. So do your snow dance, wear your PJ’s inside out, appease to Ullr for a snowy season, and we’ll be seeing you at the Ridge very soon!
