Hello friends! After a brutal couple weeks of unseasonable weather, it looks like we’ll be returning to a cold, snowy pattern once again. The mountain took a beating last week, but we weathered the storm (or lack of storm for that matter) and I’m pretty happy with how it held up. Some thin spots came through, but for being predominantly natural snow, just about everything is still skiable.
We will take advantage of this week’s cold temperatures and start one final round of snowmaking before we pack up the guns for the season. We will make snow at the bottom of South (to fill in bare spots and in preparation for next week’s AcroBag event and the end of season Pond Skim), on Snowy Meadow (to fill in thin spots/build a base and make the progression park), and at the top of Silversmith (final preparations for this weekend’s Silversmith Race).
We have also had numerous issues with our groomer, unfortunately leaving the terrain park only half built. We think we have resolved most of these issues and hope to have a full park ready for your shredding pleasure by this weekend. Fingers crossed…
We hope to see some more natural snow fall to improve conditions and help reopen some terrain! Come one out and enjoy the slopes, even if you don’t have snow in your back yard, we have plenty at the Ridge! See you out there, and think snow!
Nick
