DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, March 3rd for our third on-snow women and wine event! This program is all about engaging and celebrating women on the slopes\, and of course\, enjoying a well deserved beverage in Tavern230 afterwards 😉 \nWe will have both skiing and snowboarding lessons available\, for all levels\, starting at 11am. We welcome those looking to brush up on their skills or take their riding to the next level\, as well as those that are new to the sport and would like to see what it’s all about! After working hard on the hill\, enjoy a complimentary lunch option and beverage by the fire to truly soak in what aprés ski is all about. \nThe cost of the program is $50 and includes a one hour group lesson\, all day lift ticket\, rentals for those who need equipment\, lunch and a beverage! We hope to see you there! \nWhen purchasing your ticket\, please select the skill level that you feel best describes your skiing or snowboarding as outlined below. \nPURCHASE YOUR TICKET HERE! \nSkiing:\nBEGINNER\n* Level 1: You have never skied before.\n* Level 2: You can ski in a cautious wedge.\n* Level 3: You can make round turns with confidence on green terrain.\nINTERMEDIATE\n* Level 4: Links turns with speed control and brings skis together parallel at the end of the turn on green and easier blue runs.\n* Level 5: Confident on green and easy blue runs. You ski mostly parallel but may wedge or step to start the turns.\n* Level 6: Use a parallel stance on smooth blue runs and are testing your skills on varied terrain and snow conditions.\nADVANCED\n* Level 7: You ski with controlled parallel turns\, maintaining rhythm and speed control on groomed black runs.\n* Level 8: You ski with good technique on all terrain and snow conditions\, using carved short radius turns. \nSnowboarding:\nBEGINNER\n* Level 1: You have never snowboarded before.\n* Level 2: You can side slip on toe or heel\, sliding left and right.\n* Level 3: You are able to slide left and right in control on both edges or complete an independent heel and toe turn on green terrain.\nINTERMEDIATE\n* Level 4: You are able to complete a linked toe and heel turn on gentle green terrain and looking toward easy blue runs.\n* Level 5: You are able to complete linked turns on toe and heel side on green and blue runs.\n* Level 6: You are able to complete linked turns with minimal traverse comfortably on all blue terrain and easy black runs.\nADVANCED\n* Level 7: You are able to link turns with rhythm and flow on difficult blue and most black runs.\n* Level 8: Join your instructors to make turns of any kind\, anywhere\, anytime all over the mountain and in all snow conditions\, taking your riding to the highest level. \nPURCHASE YOUR TICKET HERE!

SUMMARY:75th Anniversary Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:Let’s face it\, it’s been a tough year. We hit a milestone at Snow Ridge this winter\, but Covid has cast a pretty large shadow over the season and we haven’t exactly been in a celebrating mood. Thanks to our staff and guests\, however\, we’ve been able to have a safe\, successful season\, and for that we’re forever grateful! \nIf you recall 5 years ago for the 70th year of operation\, we had a big gathering with dinner\, drinks\, activities and people getting together from all over the country. Obviously\, this year things are much different\, but 75 years of skiing on the Tug is certainly something that needs to be acknowledged. So we’re going to celebrate the best way we can on Saturday\, March 13th! \nBring the family out for some spring skiing and fun activities on and off the snow! We’ll have a scavenger hunt\, Snow Ridge trivia challenge\, human curling\, and snow kayaking to celebrate our milestone! DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: This event has been cancelled following discussions with the event organizer concerning this week’s weather. After a warm up with rain forecast and a temperature drop heading into the weekend\, we concluded that it would not be possible to offer a track that is rideable\, fun\, safe\, and that we would be proud of. We plan to be back next year to give it another shot! \nWe’re excited to introduce fat bike racing at the Ridge! \nYOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS RACE! REGISTER NOW! There will be NO day of registration and a combined fields cap of 50 racers per discipline (XC and Dual Slalom). \nParticipation is KEY to holding events like this so take advantage of great early pricing and DON’T procrastinate. Registration closes 3/6\, but this will sell out quick! \nWe are VERY excited to introduce you to the North Country Fat Bike Championships. \nSnow Ridge Ski Resort is an absolute North Country Classic\, and is a lot closer to Syracuse\, Utica\, Watertown\, Albany and Binghamton than you think! This race is sure to become an instant classic. \nExpect a VERY well marked and challenging mixed surface XC course with groomers\, single-track\, and chockablock full of twists\, turns\, rolls and punches…and enough elevation to keep us all honest. \nThe Dual Slalom course will be well-groomed and responsibly featured…it’s going to be a total barn burner of a race and likely a spectacle for the ages. \nREGISTER FOR BOTH DISCIPLINES AND SAVE $10 \nAfterwards the very charming\, warm\, and welcoming Tavern will play host to awards and a very comfortable unwind…with hot food\, cold drinks\, and plenty of options on tap. Find a comforatable seat\, or just stand by the fire with a cold drink in hand and entertain everyone with all your best post-race excuses! \nREGISTER HERE TODAY!

SUMMARY:Spring Pond Skim!
DESCRIPTION:It’s baaaaacckkkkkk! Our favorite day of the season is making it’s return the weekend of March 2oth! The pond skim will officially be held on Sunday\, March 21st. \nThis year’s pond will be like nothing you’ve seen before! In addition to the daunting 100′ skim\, we’ll also have a shorter 50′ skim available! Did you hear that Dad? Now there’s no excuse not to send it! We’re looking for a record skimmer turnout this year\, so bring the whole family down and give it a go! \nStill not convinced? That’s alright\, the spectator route is certainly the drier option and is probably just as fun! We’ll be flipping burgers on the grill\, cold drinks will be available at the outside bar\, and music will be playing all day! \nOur judges will be watching every skim\, picking out the best of the best to win a prize! We’ll be awarding prizes for the Best Skim\, Best Swim\, and Best Costume. \nFinally\, and most importantly\, ALL health and safety guidelines MUST be followed in order to make this day possible. Just like they have been all season now\, masks are REQUIRED at all times\, with the only exception being while you are actively skiing or boarding down the hill and in this case\, skimming the pond. Masks will be available at the end of the pond for anyone who falls and soaks their own. Additionally\, social distancing guidelines must continue to be followed. Viewing will be available on all sides of the pond and spectators MUST remain spread out. Follow all the rules and we’ll have a fun\, safe season celebration!
