DESCRIPTION:The TugMudDare at Snow Ridge Resort in Turin\, NY is the premier Adventure Run in the Tug Hill-Adirondack Region! The 5K course wanders throughout the ski area\, across ridge lines\, through streams\, and up and down hills as it covers roughly 2000 vertical feet. This unique course will challenge you unlike any other\, while also providing countless smiles\, laughs and high fives. There are a few options for participating in the TugMudDare Adventure Run: SOLO\, as a TEAM\, or JUNIOR. \n​INDIVIDUAL: This one is simple\, it’s a race to the finish line with bragging rights\, medals\, and prizes on the line for the top three female and male finishers. You’ll run solo against the field in the competitive heat to see who is King of the Hill! As always\, all obstacles are optional. However\, in order to post a valid time in this heat\, all obstacles must be completed by the racer. \n​TEAM: Teamwork and fun are the name of the game here. You’ll work together with your teammates to finish the TugMudDare course! There is no minimum or maximum team size\, so grab some friends and assemble your team! Team heats are NOT competitive. Team’s will receive a finishing time only for fun\, no prizes are awarded in the team heats. \n​JUNIOR: The Jr.MudDare is run on a smaller\, separate course than the TugMudDare. This run is open to all kids ages 3-12 years old. Children 5 and under require a parent or guardian to participate with them (no additional fee required). This is a fun run with all kids receiving a finishers medal for completing the course! \nNo matter how you dare\, the TugMudDare will put both your body and mind to the ultimate test. DESCRIPTION:It’s baaaaacckkkkkk! Our favorite day of the season is making it’s return the weekend of March 2oth! The pond skim will officially be held on Sunday\, March 21st. \nThis year’s pond will be like nothing you’ve seen before! In addition to the daunting 100′ skim\, we’ll also have a shorter 50′ skim available! Did you hear that Dad? Now there’s no excuse not to send it! We’re looking for a record skimmer turnout this year\, so bring the whole family down and give it a go! \nStill not convinced? That’s alright\, the spectator route is certainly the drier option and is probably just as fun! We’ll be flipping burgers on the grill\, cold drinks will be available at the outside bar\, and music will be playing all day! \nOur judges will be watching every skim\, picking out the best of the best to win a prize! We’ll be awarding prizes for the Best Skim\, Best Swim\, and Best Costume. \nFinally\, and most importantly\, ALL health and safety guidelines MUST be followed in order to make this day possible. Just like they have been all season now\, masks are REQUIRED at all times\, with the only exception being while you are actively skiing or boarding down the hill and in this case\, skimming the pond. Masks will be available at the end of the pond for anyone who falls and soaks their own. Additionally\, social distancing guidelines must continue to be followed. Viewing will be available on all sides of the pond and spectators MUST remain spread out. Follow all the rules and we’ll have a fun\, safe season celebration!

After a warm up with rain forecast and a temperature drop heading into the weekend\, we concluded that it would not be possible to offer a track that is rideable\, fun\, safe\, and that we would be proud of. We plan to be back next year to give it another shot! \nWe’re excited to introduce fat bike racing at the Ridge! \nYOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS RACE! REGISTER NOW! There will be NO day of registration and a combined fields cap of 50 racers per discipline (XC and Dual Slalom). \nParticipation is KEY to holding events like this so take advantage of great early pricing and DON’T procrastinate. Registration closes 3/6\, but this will sell out quick! \nWe are VERY excited to introduce you to the North Country Fat Bike Championships. \nSnow Ridge Ski Resort is an absolute North Country Classic\, and is a lot closer to Syracuse\, Utica\, Watertown\, Albany and Binghamton than you think! We hit a milestone at Snow Ridge this winter\, but Covid has cast a pretty large shadow over the season and we haven’t exactly been in a celebrating mood. Obviously\, this year things are much different\, but 75 years of skiing on the Tug is certainly something that needs to be acknowledged. Join us on Wednesday\, December 16th to start the season with our first women’s event! Because we can’t predict what old man winter has in store for us this December\, our first event will be indoors at Tavern 230. The kick off will be an hour long Vinyasa Flow yoga class\, taught by a Tier 1 Baptiste Certified instructor. This program is completely beginner friendly and all about fun! Following our class\, we will enjoy complimentary mimosas and a light brunch option. Future Women and Wine events will take place one Wednesday each month and will include a one hour lesson on snow from our new PSIA Certified Ski and Ride School Director\, Jackie Mir\, followed by a complimentary wine and social hour in the Tavern. We are so excited to bring together women in our community and continue to grow female engagement in snow sports! Go watch “Cool Runnings” and then swing on back. We’ll wait… \n\n\n \n\n\nAlright! Now that you’re all caught up\, grab your skis or board\, put on your most radical outfit\, kiss your lucky egg\, and come give the skim a go! Not feeling the ~40 degree plunge? Stay dry and watch the chaos pond side! We’ll have music pumping\, food and drinks outside\, and some live music in the Tavern to finish it all off! \n\n\n \n\n\nRob Hirschey will keep the party going with live music in Tavern230 from 1PM-4PM with food and drink specials to wet your whistle! You won’t want to miss this wild late season party! \n\n\n \n\n\nThis event is highly weather dependent. The primary event date is Saturday\, March 21st. Hop on a saucer and find a friend to slide you down the track to rack up as many points as you can!\n1PM-3PM: Snow Kayaking! Jump in a kayak to try out this wild twist on a summertime classic.
