DESCRIPTION:Alright friends\, the time has finally come to get our hands dirty! Trail designer\, Eli Glesmann\, has about half of the Outer XC Loop marked out and ready to dig. We’re going to get as much of this trail roughed in as we can before the snow arrives. Here are the dates\, weather dependent\, for trail building days: \nSunday\, September 26\nSunday\, October 10\nSaturday\, October 23\nSaturday\, November 6 \nWe’re relying on the help of the local mountain bike community to make these trails a reality. If you’re able to come lend a hand on any of these days\, your help will be greatly appreciated! Aside from future trail riding satisfaction\, we’ll also be serving up some lunch and drinks to everyone for volunteering their time and efforts. We have a handful of tools available\, but if you have any of the following\, please bring them along:\n– Loppers\n– Garden/Dirt Hoe\n– Shovel\n– Rock Rake\n– Hand Saw\n– Chainsaw (ONLY bring if you are an experienced operator please) \nWe will be meeting at 9AM in the courtyard at the bottom of the hill\, and will work until around 1PM when we’ll head down for some lunch and drinks. SUMMARY:MTN Bike Trail Building Day
DESCRIPTION:Alright friends\, the time has finally come to get our hands dirty! Trail designer\, Eli Glesmann\, has about half of the Outer XC Loop marked out and ready to dig. We’re going to get as much of this trail roughed in as we can before the snow arrives. Here are the dates\, weather dependent\, for trail building days: \nSunday\, September 26\nSunday\, October 10\nSaturday\, October 23\nSaturday\, November 6 \nWe’re relying on the help of the local mountain bike community to make these trails a reality. If you’re able to come lend a hand on any of these days\, your help will be greatly appreciated! Aside from future trail riding satisfaction\, we’ll also be serving up some lunch and drinks to everyone for volunteering their time and efforts. We have a handful of tools available\, but if you have any of the following\, please bring them along:\n– Loppers\n– Garden/Dirt Hoe\n– Shovel\n– Rock Rake\n– Hand Saw\n– Chainsaw (ONLY bring if you are an experienced operator please) \nWe will be meeting at 9AM in the courtyard at the bottom of the hill\, and will work until around 1PM when we’ll head down for some lunch and drinks. As always\, feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone on the hill! \n

SUMMARY:TugMudDare 2021
DESCRIPTION:The TugMudDare at Snow Ridge Resort in Turin\, NY is the premier Adventure Run in the Tug Hill-Adirondack Region! The 5K course wanders throughout the ski area\, across ridge lines\, through streams\, and up and down hills as it covers roughly 2000 vertical feet. This unique course will challenge you unlike any other\, while also providing countless smiles\, laughs and high fives. There are a few options for participating in the TugMudDare Adventure Run: SOLO\, as a TEAM\, or JUNIOR. \n​INDIVIDUAL: This one is simple\, it’s a race to the finish line with bragging rights\, medals\, and prizes on the line for the top three female and male finishers. You’ll run solo against the field in the competitive heat to see who is King of the Hill! As always\, all obstacles are optional. However\, in order to post a valid time in this heat\, all obstacles must be completed by the racer. \n​TEAM: Teamwork and fun are the name of the game here. You’ll work together with your teammates to finish the TugMudDare course! There is no minimum or maximum team size\, so grab some friends and assemble your team! Team heats are NOT competitive. Team’s will receive a finishing time only for fun\, no prizes are awarded in the team heats. \n​JUNIOR: The Jr.MudDare is run on a smaller\, separate course than the TugMudDare. This run is open to all kids ages 3-12 years old. Children 5 and under require a parent or guardian to participate with them (no additional fee required). This is a fun run with all kids receiving a finishers medal for completing the course! \nNo matter how you dare\, the TugMudDare will put both your body and mind to the ultimate test. DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: Date changed to Saturday\, April 24th due to inclement weather forecast. \nWe’re introducing a new volunteer day this Spring! As the snow on the hill melts\, we can’t help but notice more and more garbage emerging. So this Earth Week\, we’re getting a crew together to help clean things up! We’ll be picking up litter from the parking lot to the top of the hill and everywhere in between. Bring some gloves\, your trusty trash picker\, and we’ll supply the bags and lunch! Bring your bag of garbage to the grill on the Tavern patio and grab some lunch on us! \n10AM : Start hill cleanup\n12PM-2PM : Lunch available \nWe’re looking forward to a rewarding day outdoors and hope you’ll join us to help clean up this little slice of the Earth that we all love so much!

The park will be open for riding from 10AM-3PM. \nCompetition Schedule:\n– Traditional Rail Jam // Women and Grom  (15 and under) Divisions // 11am-11:30am\n– Traditional Rail Jam // Am (beginner/intermediate) and Pro (advanced) Divisions // 11:30am-12pm\n– Game of SNOW // All Riders // 1pm-2pm \nPrizes will be awarded in all divisions\, including $100 grand prize to the Pro division winners! \nMusic will be pumping all day and food and drink will be available for purchase. SUMMARY:Spring Pond Skim!
DESCRIPTION:It’s baaaaacckkkkkk! Our favorite day of the season is making it’s return the weekend of March 2oth! The pond skim will officially be held on Sunday\, March 21st. \nThis year’s pond will be like nothing you’ve seen before! In addition to the daunting 100′ skim\, we’ll also have a shorter 50′ skim available! Did you hear that Dad? Now there’s no excuse not to send it! We’re looking for a record skimmer turnout this year\, so bring the whole family down and give it a go! \nStill not convinced? That’s alright\, the spectator route is certainly the drier option and is probably just as fun! We’ll be flipping burgers on the grill\, cold drinks will be available at the outside bar\, and music will be playing all day! \nOur judges will be watching every skim\, picking out the best of the best to win a prize! We’ll be awarding prizes for the Best Skim\, Best Swim\, and Best Costume. \nFinally\, and most importantly\, ALL health and safety guidelines MUST be followed in order to make this day possible. Just like they have been all season now\, masks are REQUIRED at all times\, with the only exception being while you are actively skiing or boarding down the hill and in this case\, skimming the pond. Masks will be available at the end of the pond for anyone who falls and soaks their own. Additionally\, social distancing guidelines must continue to be followed. Viewing will be available on all sides of the pond and spectators MUST remain spread out. Follow all the rules and we’ll have a fun\, safe season celebration!
