This unique course will challenge you unlike any other\, while also providing countless smiles\, laughs and high fives. There are a number of different ways to participate in the TugMudDare Adventure Run! \nTMD 5K Individual Heat: This one is simple\, it’s a race to the finish line with bragging rights\, medals\, and prizes on the line for the top three female and male finishers. You’ll run solo against the field in the TMD 5K Individual Heat to see who ends up on top! While this heat does offer prizes for the top finishers\, it can also be run just for fun. All individuals who do not plan to run with a team should sign up for this Heat. \n​TMD Team Run Heats: Teamwork and fun are the name of the game here. You’ll work together with your teammates to finish the TugMudDare course! There is no minimum or maximum team size\, so grab some friends and assemble your team! Team heats are NOT competitive. Teams will receive a finishing time only for fun\, no prizes are awarded in these heats. If you plan to run alongside other people as a team\, register yourself for one of these Heats. \nTMD Tikes: The kids run takes place on a smaller\, separate course than the TugMudDare. All children in the 3-7 year old hear require supervision from an adult (no additional fee required). This is a fun run with all kids receiving a t-shirt and finishers medal for completing the course! SUMMARY:Trail Building Day
DESCRIPTION:We’re looking for volunteers to help us build one of our newest ski trails as well as our brand new mountain bike trails! For the ski trail\, we’ll be focusing on the top section of Pocket Knife\, one of the newest additions to the Snow Pocket area. We’ll be clearing a gladed trail from Rockin’ Robin\, down to the lower\, open section of Pocket Knife. \nFor the bike trails\, we’ll continue working across the top of the hill to connect the uphill climb trail with the downhill trail that will be built next spring. Finishing this upper XC connecting trail will put us at about 70% completion\, putting us in good shape for opening early next summer! These trails will be free to ride and their construction depends on volunteer hands. The more people we have to help\, the sooner they’ll be able to open! \nAs always\, lunch and drinks are on us after a few good hours of work. We’ll meet in the parking lot at 10AM. Useful tools to bring include shears\, loppers\, hand saws\, machetes\, and anything else used to clear brush.

DESCRIPTION:We’ve added a brand new event for the end of summer! Introducing the Snow Ridge Scholarship Classic at the Ledges Golf Course in Turin! This event is a fundraiser for our Snow Ridge Scholarship Fund\, which aims to award two scholarships in the Spring of 2023. One winner will be a Snow Ridge employee who is a high school senior or college student. The other winner will be a South Lewis senior who has an interest in a career in the outdoor recreation or hospitality fields. Help us award these students with a boost into their future careers! \nThe Snow Ridge Scholarship Classic is a golf tournament like you’ve never seen before. Teams of four will play a captain and crew format\, with a game or challenge on ALL 18 holes! A number of these games will include a prize for the winner\, while others will help to even the field in the form of fun\, whacky challenges. Have you ever teed off in ski boots? Tried to putt with a ski? Won a SHORT drive contest? These are all some of the things you’ll find at the inaugural Scholarship Classic! \nThe tournament will take place on Saturday\, September 10th. Registration and breakfast begin at 9am\, shotgun start at 10am\, cocktail hour at Ledges from 3pm-4pm\, and dinner and awards at Tavern230 from 4pm-6pm! Registration is $320 per four person team and includes 18 holes of golf\, cart\, breakfast\, lunch\, dinner\, games\, raffle\, and 4 buy one get one free Snow Ridge lift tickets per team! Here are the dates\, weather dependent\, for trail building days: \nSunday\, September 26\nSunday\, October 10\nSaturday\, October 23\nSaturday\, November 6 \nWe’re relying on the help of the local mountain bike community to make these trails a reality. If you’re able to come lend a hand on any of these days\, your help will be greatly appreciated! Aside from future trail riding satisfaction\, we’ll also be serving up some lunch and drinks to everyone for volunteering their time and efforts. We have a handful of tools available\, but if you have any of the following\, please bring them along:\n– Loppers\n– Garden/Dirt Hoe\n– Shovel\n– Rock Rake\n– Hand Saw\n– Chainsaw (ONLY bring if you are an experienced operator please) \nWe will be meeting at 9AM in the courtyard at the bottom of the hill\, and will work until around 1PM when we’ll head down for some lunch and drinks. SUMMARY:MTN Bike Trail Building Day
DESCRIPTION:Alright friends\, the time has finally come to get our hands dirty! Trail designer\, Eli Glesmann\, has about half of the Outer XC Loop marked out and ready to dig. We’re going to get as much of this trail roughed in as we can before the snow arrives. Here are the dates\, weather dependent\, for trail building days: \nSunday\, September 26\nSunday\, October 10\nSaturday\, October 23\nSaturday\, November 6 \nWe’re relying on the help of the local mountain bike community to make these trails a reality. If you’re able to come lend a hand on any of these days\, your help will be greatly appreciated! Aside from future trail riding satisfaction\, we’ll also be serving up some lunch and drinks to everyone for volunteering their time and efforts. We have a handful of tools available\, but if you have any of the following\, please bring them along:\n– Loppers\n– Garden/Dirt Hoe\n– Shovel\n– Rock Rake\n– Hand Saw\n– Chainsaw (ONLY bring if you are an experienced operator please) \nWe will be meeting at 9AM in the courtyard at the bottom of the hill\, and will work until around 1PM when we’ll head down for some lunch and drinks. As always\, feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone on the hill! \n

SUMMARY:TugMudDare 2021
DESCRIPTION:The TugMudDare at Snow Ridge Resort in Turin\, NY is the premier Adventure Run in the Tug Hill-Adirondack Region! The 5K course wanders throughout the ski area\, across ridge lines\, through streams\, and up and down hills as it covers roughly 2000 vertical feet. This unique course will challenge you unlike any other\, while also providing countless smiles\, laughs and high fives. There are a few options for participating in the TugMudDare Adventure Run: SOLO\, as a TEAM\, or JUNIOR. \n​INDIVIDUAL: This one is simple\, it’s a race to the finish line with bragging rights\, medals\, and prizes on the line for the top three female and male finishers. You’ll run solo against the field in the competitive heat to see who is King of the Hill! As always\, all obstacles are optional. However\, in order to post a valid time in this heat\, all obstacles must be completed by the racer. \n​TEAM: Teamwork and fun are the name of the game here. You’ll work together with your teammates to finish the TugMudDare course! There is no minimum or maximum team size\, so grab some friends and assemble your team! Team heats are NOT competitive. Team’s will receive a finishing time only for fun\, no prizes are awarded in the team heats. \n​JUNIOR: The Jr.MudDare is run on a smaller\, separate course than the TugMudDare. This run is open to all kids ages 3-12 years old. Children 5 and under require a parent or guardian to participate with them (no additional fee required). This is a fun run with all kids receiving a finishers medal for completing the course! \nNo matter how you dare\, the TugMudDare will put both your body and mind to the ultimate test. SUMMARY:Truck and Tractor Pull - NYS Hot Farm Pulling Series
DESCRIPTION:Come check out the inaugural tractor and truck pull on a brand new track at the base of the hill! We’re excited to bring the big tractors from the NYS Hot Farm Pulling Series to Snow Ridge for some loud\, powerful pulling action! In addition\, there will be a diesel truck pull that will be open to the public for any street legal trucks that want to test their power! Admission is only $10 for adults\, $5 for kids 6-12\, and under 6 get in free. Gates will open at 11AM with the pulls kicking off at 12PM and lasting until around 4PM.
